During today's Q1 earning report Jeff Huber reported that android averages about 350,000 devices activated and 3 billion app installs a day! The amount of activations is astonishing: almost 2.5 million a week. Is android on the iphone's heels? Let me know what you think.
wow these numbers are amazing, personally i think android will take over iphones business just beacuse its open source and is great for programmers and developers who want to utilize the mobile phones!
ReplyDeletegood post, ill be following!
Those numbers are sick high... I have been so focused on the Iphone, I forgot all about Android :D
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a lot of apps! Can't believe that many people are getting Androids either! cool post.
ReplyDeleteI hope android defeats Iphone
ReplyDeleteGoogle>>>>>Apple
Wow, amazing numbers there. I think the Android is going to beat the Iphone in the future, just look at those numbers.
ReplyDelete<3 android. nice to find another blog about it. following you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that post, I'm following you :D
ReplyDeletepeople will always buy the iPhone no matter how much better android is .. sadly
ReplyDeleteI have a dell mini 5 (streak) running 2.2 and I LOVE it. good post, love android news
dude, apple is way too closed. only people who know little to nothing about computers will stick to apple. You have no choice when it comes to macs and iphones whereas androids you have choice. android will be the clear winner soon enough
ReplyDeletewell it sounds like it, and i wouldn't be surprised either, b/c of what jedi168 said

great competition.
ReplyDeleteI belive that the guys at apple should learn alot from the guys at google...
ReplyDeletei have had a iphone since they came out i think i am going to make the switch to android
ReplyDeleteAndroids look pretty cool, I'd say they are about equally as good as the iPhone.
ReplyDeletei think iphones have more apps installed than androids
ReplyDeleteGo Androids!!!!! I hate all that is apple. Nice post man!
ReplyDeleteWow, those are some promising numbers.
ReplyDeleteAndroids are passing the iPhone for sure. I have an iPod Touch (which is essentially an iPhone) and I love it. I won't lie. But my droid phone is so much better. Not because of the phone part, either. I love the interaction with my PC, the expandability and different possibilities it has, everything about it is just better in my opinion. Droids will pass the iPhone or be it's fierce rival for sure.
ReplyDeletei preffer android than iOS but i still preffer maemo and then symbian
ReplyDeletethats alot of apps installed. I have not got many new apps for mine.
ReplyDeletelooks android is getting bigger everyday
ReplyDeleteMost of the techies I know (and not just the early adopters) have moved from iPhone to Android.
ReplyDeleteYou can do so much more customization with Android than the ios... if I want to give it to my grandmother and have it look like a rotary phone... so be it!
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to figure out what phone to get next. Still rockin' out on the original droid.
ReplyDeletei love adroids :)
ReplyDeleteHum, i do want one of those new phones that been coming out...
ReplyDeletePerhaps we'll see the Android one day beating the IPhone in sales... One can dream.
ReplyDeleteLove to see the Android community growing.
ReplyDeleteNice. I want an android phone now
ReplyDeleteohaa, that is crazy
ReplyDeleteI still prefer the iPhone but Google is like a steam tank demolishing the competition...
ReplyDeleteI think Android is gonna eventually beat out apple, way more customization, way more phones, better all around and no annoying contract you're stuck in for 2 years
ReplyDeleteAndroid is unstoppable
ReplyDeleteThats a pretty good sell mark lol.
ReplyDeletewow, that is a lot. No surrender Android!
ReplyDeletei have had iphones since they came out thinking about making switch
ReplyDeletegreat post !
ReplyDeleteI love Android phones.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Andriod will overtake iPhones.
ReplyDeleteI like iPhones ..
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely coming along but it'll never beat the iPhone especially with the iPhone 5 coming out soon.
ReplyDeleteMy Desire HD charger somehow melted the plastic on the bottom of my phone and now I can't charge it :/ for that reason I'm switching back to Apple.
Nice blog though
Following :)
wow, those are some seriously impressive numbers!
ReplyDeleteWriting a blog about iPhone/iPod Touch apps and owning an Android phone, I can safely say Android is better. The apps are a lot more useful, although not always as entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI really hope Android take over. I don't like Apple lol
Android is better by far. Its sooooo good to be away from Apple.
